Texas Holdem

Texas Holdem can be played with as little as two players, and up to as many as ten players. This game is well liked worldwide, and this is due to the fact thats its a fast and simple game. The game consists of four betting rounds. Texas holdem is played with each player receiving two "private" cards placed face down and five "community" cards placed face up in the center of the table, which is then shared by all the players. The player with the highest hand at the showdown ultimately wins the pot.

Although Texas Holdem is a pretty simple game, there is a great amount of strategy that is used in the game. It is for this reason that it is important to learn the basics of the game before joining a table. Also bear in mind that their are variation to the game such as Ultimate Texas Holdem - Limited Texas Holdem and Unlimited Texas Holdem


Omaha hi

Omaha hi is played between two to ten players. This game consists of four betting rounds. Omaha hi is played with each player receiving four "private" cards which are dealt face down and five "community" cards which are dealt face up and placed in the center of the table to be shared by all the players. Each player attempts to create the highest valued hand using any two of their four "private" cards and any three of the five "community" cards.

Omaha hi lo is also a version of the above game, and uses the same rules, however each player attempts to create the highest valued and/or lowest valued qualifying hand, using any two of their four "private cards" and any three of the five "community" cards.


Seven card stud

Seven card stud is played by between two to eight players. Betting in Seven Card Stud consists of an initial ante, which is then preceded by five further betting rounds. The game is played with each player receiving three cards face down and four cards face up. Each player then attempts to create the highest valued hand, using any combination of five of their seven cards.

Seven card stud hi lo is also a version of Seven Card Stud with same rules, however each player attempts to create the highest valued and/or lowest valued qualifying hand, using any combination from five of their seven cards.


Five card draw

Five card draw poker is one of the oldest and still one of the best poker games available. The game is played between two to five players. Betting in Five card draw poker consists of an initial Ante, which is then preceded by a further two betting rounds. Each player receives five cards face-down, and may discard or draw up to five cards after the first betting round. The player with the highest hand at showdown then wins the pot.


Caribbean stud poker

This game is different to the other games mentioned, as here everyone plays against the casino/poker room which acts as a bank (dealer), paying out all winning bets. To win you have to beat the dealer’s hand, other player’s hands make absolutely no difference.
